This year starts with jaw-dropping news for Polish innovative Rx market. Our government and Donald Tusk the Great in his mission of making our health care system modern and patient focused reduced the number of reimbursed drugs (by 800 molecules), increasing patient co-payment (AVG 35%) and create many confusion around the HCP (doctors & pharmacy level) role in Polish healthcare system. It doesn't provide smiles on our faces. The final outcome of such changes occurred us the questions which nobody want's to answer aloud?
Should we reduce the sales-force or promotional budgets? As we see today, the top of local innovative companies decided to reduce both (the biggest reduction in event & congresses areas).
So the question is - what is the next step? Hmmm...
e-Channels?
I would strongly recommend it as a continues part of the brand marketing puzzles.
Now we have very hard times, where this who will not include eMarketing activities in his mix, he can say goodbye for some of his customers (especially "long tails" prescribers).
There is a multiple ways how to not lose them, but for sure on the better position are this players who have at least 2-3 years experience in such projects. I don't want to say, this is impossible to start from the very beginning, but getting experience for sure will takes some marketing cycles :)
For those who really think to start with eChannels communications I would recommend to visit upcoming eMarketing Europe & Moblie 2012 conference (27-28th March, Barcelona). I was there couple of times and after each meeting I back at home with charged batteries and head full of new ideas.
